The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust.

Detailed information for protected areas

Sorteny

Sorteny

You can only ski above the forest line. The drop in temperatures in recent days has allowed the snow to harden and make it more skiable. Even so, we will have to make long approaches on foot.
Comapedrosa

Comapedrosa

We will have to avoid driving under the rocky walls due to the danger of avalanches of wet snow or falling blocks of snow from the higher parts. Despite the snowfall, the snow is concentrated in the higher parts and on the steep northern slopes.
Madriu-Perafita-Claror

Madriu-Perafita-Claror

At higher elevations there are significant accumulations, but the snow has retreated to the valley floors and below the forest line. The conditions are similar everywhere, with the snow concentrated above 2,200 meters and in the vicinity of the ski resorts, which facilitate the approaches.
